based on an additive statistic: the log-likelihood ratio,
Pearson's chi-squared, the Cressie-Read power divergence, and
the exact multinomial test. The main function, pval_fourier(),
writes the p-value as a Fourier series in the moment-generating
function of the statistic and sums it until an adaptive
stopping rule is met, which makes small p-values of large
instances computationally feasible. The function pval_exact()
computes the exact p-value by branch pruning with bounds from a
dynamic program, and pval_flexible() chooses between the two
according to the size of the instance.</description><link>https://github.com/r-universe/pabrvss/actions/runs/41047974719</link><pubDate>Fri, 30 Oct 2026 08:11:38 GMT</pubDate><r:package>MultinomFourier</r:package><r:version>1.0</r:version><r:status>success</r:status><r:repository>https://pabrvss.r-universe.dev</r:repository><r:upstream>https://github.com/pabrvss/multinomfourier</r:upstream><r:article><r:source>polling_tables_multfourier.Rmd</r:source><r:filename>polling_tables_multfourier.html</r:filename><r:title>Detecting Unusual Polling-Station Results with MultinomFourier</r:title><r:created>2026-09-21 06:02:35</r:created><r:modified>2026-10-13 23:03:05</r:modified></r:article></item></channel></rss>
